How to find router IP address?

This post has everything you need to know about router IP address. To configure your router, you will have to log into it. And to do that, you need to know your IP address. Some common IP addresses are 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1, etc. Here's how to find your router IP address on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iPhone, Android, and Chrome OS.

How to find my router IP address?

On Windows
  1. Click the Start button and type cmd then press Enter to open the command prompt.
  2. A black window will now appear. Type ipconfig. 
  3. Look through the results for the default gateway address.

On MAC OS
  1. Click the Apple menu at the top of the screen.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Click the Network icon.
  4. Select the suitable network connection.
  5. Press the Advanced button.
  6. Click TCP/IP.
  7. You can find the IP address on the right of the router.

On Linux

  1. Go to Applications > System Tools > Terminal. 
  2. Type ipconfig. 
  3. Your router's IP address is listed next to inet addr.
On iPhone iOS
  1. If you are using iOS9 or iOS8:
  2. Go to Settings > WiFi. 
  3. Click the wireless network to which you are currently connected. 
  4. You can find our your router's IP address in the DHCP section.
On Android
  1. Download and install the Wi-Fi Analyzer app.
  2. Tap View and choose AP list. 
  3. Tap on Connected to: [Network Name].
  4. You can find your IP address in a new window that displays.  

On Chrome OS
  1. On the taskbar, click the notification area. 
  2. Click Connected to [Network Name] on the list that appears. 
  3. Click the name of your wireless network .
  4. Find your router's IP address on the Network tab.
