How to Reset a Router?

When you reset your router, all of your current settings (your username, password, router name, ISP username, and password, etc) will be erased and your router will be back to its factory settings. Here is how to reset a router. The process is fairly simple.

How to Reset a Router (Wireless router)

1. Find the RESET button on your router. It usually locates at the back or the bottom side.
2. Press and hold it for 10 seconds. You  may need something sharp to do this.

3. You will know you're doing right if you see the router's start blinking then stop.
4. Your router will be returned to its factory settings.
5. Update your firmware
The firmware is the integral software that keeps your router functioning. You can download a new router firmware to get your router vulnerability patched. 

How to reset DSL router

If you are the owner of a DSL router, you will have to ask your provider to give you WAN password. You can find your router's type on the backside of the device. Then, follow steps in your router’s documentation book to reset your router.
